Space Mountain is an indoor roller coaster located in the Magic Kingdom theme park, which is inside the Walt Disney World Resort in the Orlando, Florida, USA area. The roller coaster was opened to Walt Disney World guests on January 15, 1975. Different versions of Space Mountain can also be found at The Walt Disney Company's Disneyland in California, Disneyland Tokyo, Japan, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland (ride now called Hyperspace Mountain). The Space Mountain roller coaster at Disney World was the first built Space Mountain ride and was followed by new versions at Disneyland California and Disneyland Tokyo. This article and section on the site will focus on the Walt Disney World Space Mountain roller coaster. In the future NavFile may have coverage on the other Disney theme parks.

Popular Ride – Ride Wait Times

Space Mountain remains as one of the most popular rides in the Magic Kingdom and its ride wait times are usually among the highest out of all of the rides in the Magic Kingdom theme park. As of July 2016, based on our observations, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is the ride with the longest wait time and Space Mountain is second. Space Mountain Location

Space Mountain is located inside the Magic Kingdom park in the section called Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland is located on the east side of the park. To get to Space Mountain From the front entrance of the theme park, you travel down Main Street and make a left at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Follow the pathway to the entrance of Tomorrowland. At the circle make a left, then make a right once you pass the circle area. You will see Space Mountain straight ahead.
