Space Mountain has music that is played in certain areas of the ride. Space Mountain music can be heard online and our team has located places where you can listen to the soundtrack for the ride. Also, this article refers to the music that plays at the Space Mountain roller coaster in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World Resort, Florida.
Space Mountain has music in the line / waiting area and at the exit portion in the “tunnel”. The songs that play are commonly called the Space Mountain background music. During the ride a song also plays. The full Space Mountain soundtrack is covered below.
Space Mountain Soundtrack
Space Mountain Entrance Music
There is a dedicated song that plays at the entrance to Space Mountain, it is the first track that plays in our first video selected from YouTube (featured above). The music has a more classical sound to it and sounds less “space like” than the other songs that play in the line and on the ride.
Space Mountain Star Tunnel Music
Following the entrance music, there is a different song that plays in the tunnel. During the tunnel portion of the line, a popular tune that plays. The music that plays in the tunnel is commonly called the Star Tunnel music. You can listen to it in the music videos that we have listed here on the page. It is the second song in the first video that listed on the page.
Space Mountain Tunnel Music – At The End
Toward the end of the tunnel, a third Space Mountain song plays. This is a different then the Start Tunnel music that is heard at the beginning of the tunnel.
Space Mountain Exit Music
During the exit portion of the attraction there is a song / tune that plays during while on the moving walkway, up to a certain point.
Roller Coaster / Ride Music
During the ride there is music that plays and that is called Starry-O-Phonic Sound. According to Disney Parks, the audio / music was added in 2010. You can hear it in the third video that is posted here on the page. This is just a video of the ride that has the music playing the background. It is hard to hear the music during the ride. After the third video is the official music soundtrack from Disney, where you can to listen to the song in clarity.
